Setfords Solicitors has hired a PR consultancy founded by a former BBC journalist as part of its expansion which includes the launch of Setfords London.
Calder PR was founded this year by Keir Calder MacKenzie, a former television and print journalist who spent 14 years working for the BBC, including series producing and editing BBC Watchdog.
Calder PR will handle all internal and external communications for the dispersed law firm which has 158 consultant solicitors across the country, as well as a team of lawyers based in Guildford. The firm was set up by joint CEOs Guy and Chris Setford, who are cousins, with David Rogers as Managing Director overseeing day-to-day operations. It recently opened offices on Chancery Lane in the capital under the name Setfords London, and announced a recruitment drive for corporate and commercial lawyers.
